A new year often begins with small but decisive steps, and January was exactly that for Roam. Rather than chasing noise, the focus this month was on strengthening partnerships, expanding real-world connectivity, and refining the tools that support a decentralized wireless network at a global scale. Together, these efforts laid a solid foundation for Roam’s growth in 2026.
1. Roam eSIM Goes Live on PWC Super App
Roam’s connectivity infrastructure was successfully integrated into the PWC Super App, with eSIM functionality now live. This integration enables users to access fast, secure 4G/5G connectivity while traveling, further extending Roam’s real-world utility and global reach.

2. Introducing the Roam AI Chat Box
To further enhance the user experience, Roam launched the Roam AI Chat Box, now live on the Roam App homepage. This new AI assistant delivers smarter, faster, and more intuitive support, helping users resolve issues more efficiently while making everyday interactions within the app smoother and more accessible.

3. New Partnerships
On January 5, Roam announced a new ecosystem partnership with MetaCarbon. The collaboration focuses on supporting decentralized infrastructure and accelerating Web3 connectivity on a global scale, reinforcing both teams’ commitment to open, permissionless networks.
In addition, Roam formed a strategic partnership with ENI, an ultra-high-performance, modular Layer-1 blockchain engineered for hyper-scale commercial adoption. By combining ENI’s enterprise-grade, compliance-oriented blockchain framework with Roam’s DePIN infrastructure and network resources, the collaboration aims to empower builders, support third-party projects, and enable real-world use cases across the ecosystem.

4. AMA: 2025 Wrap-Up and New Goals for 2026
On January 6, Roam hosted its 2025 Wrap-Up and New Goals for 2026 AMA, bringing the community together to reflect on the project’s progress over the past year and share a forward-looking vision for 2026. The session featured YZ, co-founder of Roam, who provided in-depth updates on product development, key milestones, and long-term strategy.
The AMA saw strong community engagement, with over 6,000 participants tuning in live and nearly 300 questions submitted—highlighting continued interest in Roam’s roadmap and priorities for the year ahead.
