February has been a busy and exciting month for Roam. Between new updates, partnerships, and community events, we have been taking steps to make the network stronger and more connected for everyone involved. Here’s everything you need to know!
1. MetaBlox NFT Redemption
In February, Roam made it easier for early supporters to get value from their MetaBlox NFTs, a limited collection launched in 2022 to provide passive income through cloud mining, staking, and OG community perks.
NFT holders can now redeem their NFTs for Roam Points, with rewards calculated from a combination of one-time owner bonuses, daily points over three years, router-linked check-in activity, and staking rewards. Once redeemed, the NFT is permanently burned on-chain, and the points can be used within the network, including in the Miner Burning Pool.
Redemption is simple through the Roam NFT Explorer, and staked NFTs just need to be withdrawn first. This update gives early supporters a smooth and rewarding way to turn their NFTs into active participation in the Roam ecosystem.

2. Roam Points & Burning Mechanism Update
In response to recent market changes and fluctuations in the $ROAM token, Roam has updated its Points and Burning Mechanisms to better reward meaningful participation and discourage low-value farming. WiFi activities now focus more on earning stickers, collectible digital rewards, while Roam Points continue to be awarded for key contributions such as deploying Roam miners, eSIM data usage, referrals, quests, and leaderboard achievements.
The burning pools have also been enhanced to support sticker bonuses. These bonuses multiply the effective points burned and increase $ROAM rewards, adding a strategic layer for collectors.
Overall, these updates help keep the ecosystem balanced, deflationary, and focused on long-term contributors, miner owners, and active users, ensuring that Roam continues to grow in a sustainable and rewarding way.

3. OpenClaw AI on Roam Rainier MAX60
Innovation hit home in February with the discovery that OpenClaw, a personal AI assistant, can now run directly on the Roam Rainier MAX60 router. This means you don’t need extra devices like a Mac Mini, AI can now live right in your home through your router. The Rainier MAX60 also supports over 200 connections, creates multiple network types (OpenRoaming, public WiFi, private WiFi), and delivers WiFi 6 speeds and efficiency. It’s a small but exciting step toward smarter home networking and seamless digital living.

4. Partnerships
Roam X POSX: Roam expanded its ecosystem through a strategic collaboration with POSX, a platform that transforms global crypto payments into real-world rewards. This partnership brings together connectivity and commerce, making it easier for users to shop, stay connected, and earn rewards along the way.

Roam X ShareX: Roam also partnered with ShareX, the Web3 infrastructure for the sharing economy. ShareX provides a standardized onboarding toolkit and a verifiable settlement layer, putting shared devices, usage data, and cash flows on-chain, which unlocks revenue-based real-world assets at scale. By combining open infrastructure with meaningful incentives and real-world usage, Roam and ShareX are helping to build the foundation for the next-generation internet.

5. Lunar New Year Celebration
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Roam hosted a special giveaway from February 12 to 19, attracting over 280 participants from around the world. The event was organized in partnership with Ball Ecosystem, CoinQ, Card Box, ShareX Network, and Ctalks, who helped promote and support the celebration.
Roam gave away 5,000 USDT worth of eSIM data to 50 lucky winners, who joined by following all partners and leaving Lunar New Year greetings along with their Roam referral codes. The event was a fun way to spread festive cheer, strengthen global connections, and bring the community together.
